Milk allergy

Milk allergy is an antibody reaction to milk protein. It can only be treated with a completely milk-free diet.

Gastric symptoms are the most common, but symptoms can also include skin reactions and breathing difficulties. Up to 10% of all children under 2 years of age suffer from milk allergy. It often improves with age, but requires precise treatment – sufferers must completely avoid milk products. Dairy products form such an important part of small children's diets, so it's vital to substitute them with other suitable, nutritional foods.
Milk-free options are marked with an M on Amica restaurant menus.
