Fazer provided family meals for families in SOS Children's Villages

Sunday, 20 November, is the Universal Children's Day. The UN Convention on the Rights of the Child is an agreement on the rights of children, and its main goal is to ensure basic rights, health, education, equality and security for all children.

To honour the Universal Children's Day, Fazer, celebrating its 120th anniversary, supplied celebration meals on Friday, 18 November for all families living in the SOS Children's Villages in Finland.  Fazer has traditionally recognised its responsibility for the wellbeing of the local community and has supported the SOS Children's Village throughout the 50 years that the association has been active. The cooperation supports the activities of the SOS Children's Villages in Finland, Sweden and Russia.

The staff of Fazer has many times expressed their wish to do something concrete for the SOS Children's Villages. The meals, designed by our chef, were prepared by the Amica restaurant located the nearest to the Villages, and the staff of Fazer personally delivered the gift bags. We at Fazer believe that sharing and caring are a major part of wellbeing, and that delicious taste is not just about food but also about dining together.

On the 120th anniversary of Fazer, in addition to financial support, we have also wanted to celebrate together with the SOS Children's Villages. We have been involved in the association's events through product donations, we send a birthday gift to all children living in the SOS Children's Villages and we also send our greetings to all parents in the Villages on Mother's and Father's day.
